The Story of a Meaningful Gift

It’s at a time like this, when all the hard work that goes into building this little jewelry company, Faith & Family Jewelry, is so rewarding. Below is a touching account from my dear friend and client, Maureen Basse Bauchman. Maureen unselfishly leaves out the fact that she has Multiple Myeloma, a rare blood and bone cancer, which as of this writing, has no cure. Leave it to the bravest person I know to tell the story of not herself, but of her gratitude to others. Enjoy.

"It is far easier for me to give than to receive help, but there are times in life when the world needs us to receive. Last February, it was such a time for me when I had a Stem Cell Transplant after 7 months of daily and weekly chemo. My sister in law, Nancy, put her life on hold in Big Sky, Montana to come to Florida to be my caretaker when I could not care for myself. How can you possibly thank someone for such a selfless act of love and kindness?
In the chemo phase of my treatment, I had received a tremendous amount of peace and comfort from a special gift given to me by a dear friend-a rosary made by Faith & Family Jewelry. It never left my side throughout the treatment-or my hands in the infusion chair. I realized a customized rosary would be the most perfect, most memorable gift for Nancy. And, being from Big Sky country-a turquoise and silver one was the obvious choice. The thought process and gift choice was validated when I saw Nancy's emotional reaction when she opened it. May she find as much harmony and serenity in her rosary that I have found in mine.
Thank you, Lee Moore for sharing your magic through your Faith & Family creations."
